Description: Descendants of John Bounds and his wife Ann Hiam (d. 1677). They migra- ted to Somerset Co., Maryland from Northumberland Co., Virginia ca. 1671. They settled in the Northern section of Somerset Co., which is now called Wicomico County, owning land in Somerset and Dorchester Counties. By 1685 John had married Mabel, his second wife, who died before 1700. Descendants live in Maryland, Mississippi, Texas, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Virginia, California and elsewhere.
